What should I know prior to receiving the ICON 1540 Fractional Laser treatment?
Most people feel mild discomfort during the treatment. This also depends on the patient’s pain tolerance level. Most sessions do not take longer than 30-45 minutes, unless the area being treated is a large size. Depending on the condition being treated 1-3 treatment sessions are recommended for skin renewal and 3-5+ sessions are recommended for stretch marks and scars, or potentially more, depending on various factors. Time of treatment and number of sessions are based on the size of the area, scar/stretch mark appearance, etc. Treatment sessions should be scheduled 2-6 weeks apart.
